Accepted Answer

iExec RLC operates by taking processing-intensive computations off-chain, ensuring smoother on-chain functions for blockchain platforms. iExec achieves this through XtremWeb-HEP, an open-sourced Desktop Grid Software. Desktop Grid Computing enables pooling of unused computing resources for utilization by applications and platforms. As per iExec's whitepaper, XtremWeb-HEP \"implements all the needed features\" to make this possible on a global scale, including \"fault-tolerance, multi-applications, multi-users, hybrid public/private infrastructure, deployment of virtual images, data management, security and accountability, and many more\". This means that any dApp can utilize any available computing resource in the iExec framework to run their programs effectively.

Question 5

What are the unique features of iExec RLC's technology?

Accepted Answer

The iExec RLC platform is known for its off-chain computation feature, made possible by XtremWeb-HEP software. This software brings together spare computing power from around the world to process data-intensive processes that normally slow down blockchain operations. What differentiates iExec from its competitors is its focus on serving dApps, building a future of blockchain-powered, decentralized internet.
