Accepted Answer

Horizen (ZEN) is trading at a price of $ 5.76 today. Over the last 24 hours, the price has decreased by -0.80%. Please note that cryptocurrency prices are highly volatile and can change rapidly.

Question 2

What Is Horizen (ZEN)?

Accepted Answer

Horizen is a blockchain network with an advanced privacy protocol and the largest node infrastructure in the industry. It uses a novel protocol called Zendoo to enable blockchain interoperability. Unique to Horizen, Zendoo uses a form of cryptographic verification called SNARK to ensure security across up to 10,000 sidechains, with an impressive throughput limit of 10,000,000 transactions per second (TPS). Zendoo functionality enables Horizen to operate as a permissionless network of blockchains, providing developers with the ability to leverage different workable SDKs to deploy their blockchains within the Horizen ecosystem.

Question 3

Who Created Horizen?

Accepted Answer

The team that developed Horizen initially introduced the network to the public in 2017, aspiring to build a world where individuals gain control over their digital footprint. Since then, the project has grown significantly, developing proprietary technology, expanding the team, and strengthening the community.

Question 4

How Does Horizen (ZEN) Work?

Accepted Answer

Horizen's native cryptocurrency, ZEN, is a mineable Proof of Work (PoW) coin currently trading on major exchanges. It is instrumental in supporting the overall network. The Horizen network operates almost 50,000 full nodes, the largest such network in the industry. ZEN can be staked, a process that aids in securing the network by allowing participants to validate transactions. Early versions of SDKs provided by Horizen (Blaze and Latus) deploy blockchains based on IOHK's provably secure Ouroboros proof-of-stake protocol. These SDKs offer fast chains that run at high speeds (up to 1,000 TPS) and fully decentralized chains using recursive SNARK composition.

Question 5

How Secure Is The Horizen Network?

Accepted Answer

The security of the Horizen network is one of its distinctive features. Its Zendoo protocol uses cryptographic SNARK verification to secure transactions across the network's vast array of sidechains. With Horizen's node infrastructure being the largest in the industry, it presents a significant barrier to any potential security breaches. Additionally, the ability to stake ZEN to participate in the network adds another layer of security, as stakers have a vested interest in maintaining the integrity of the network.

Question 6

How Much ZEN Is In Circulation?

Accepted Answer

As of today, there are 18.5M ZEN in circulation. Please note that this amount may change over time due to factors such as mining and staking.

Question 7

Can I Buy Horizen On Any Major Cryptocurrency Exchanges?

Accepted Answer

Yes, ZEN, the native cryptocurrency of Horizen, is available for purchase on various major cryptocurrency exchanges. Some of these exchanges as of now include Binance, Coinbase Pro, DigiFinex. Please note that available exchanges may vary over time as different platforms adapt to the dynamic nature of the cryptocurrency market.
