Question 1

What's the Current Price of Zcash (ZEC)?

Accepted Answer

The price of Zcash currently stands at LTC 19.25. It has decreased by -6.82% over the last 24 hours.

Question 2

What Is Zcash (ZEC)?

Accepted Answer

Zcash is an open-source and decentralized cryptocurrency that prioritizes privacy and transparency. Even though all Zcash transactions are stored on a public blockchain, details such as the sender, recipient, and transaction amount remain confidential.

Question 3

Who Are the Founders of Zcash?

Accepted Answer

The creation of Zcash was spearheaded by a team of experienced cryptographers and engineers who sought to integrate privacy-preserving features into an open-source platform based on the robust codebase of Bitcoin Core.

Question 4

How Does Zcash Work?

Accepted Answer

Zcash works by encrypting transaction data to protect all sensitive information. For the verification of these concealed transactions, Zcash employs a cryptographic technique known as zk-SNARKs (Zero-Knowledge Succinct Non-Interactive Argument of Knowledge), which was developed by its cryptography team. It can prove the validity of transactions without disclosing their details, thus enhancing privacy. Moreover, Zcash offers the option for its users to send public payments that work similarly to Bitcoin, giving users the flexibility to send Zcash transactions privately or publicly.

Question 5

What Makes Zcash Unique?

Accepted Answer

The unique selling point of Zcash is its emphasis on privacy. Through its use of advanced cryptographic techniques, specifically zero-knowledge proofs, it guarantees the validity of transactions without revealing any extra information about them. This introduces a new paradigm for digital transactions, making it popular for users who prioritize transaction privacy.

Question 6

How Does The Zcash Protocol Guarantee Privacy?

Accepted Answer

The protocol uses an innovative cryptographic technique known as zk-SNARK to validate encrypted transactions. Zero-Knowledge proofs allow for the validation of transactions without disclosing their details. Moreover, with support for both shielded and transparent addresses, users can decide whether to send Zcash transactions privately or publicly.

Question 7

How Much Zcash (ZEC) Is Currently in Circulation?

Accepted Answer

The circulating supply of Zcash is currently 17.0M, out of a total supply of 17.0M.

Question 8

Is Zcash's Protocol Similar to Bitcoin's?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Zcash's open-source platform is built upon Bitcoin Core's codebase, but it includes significant enhancements for privacy. Zcash has not only preserved the battle-proven infrastructure of Bitcoin but also added an additional layer of privacy, making transactions more confidential.

Question 9

Where Can I Buy Zcash (ZEC)?

Accepted Answer

Zcash can currently be purchased on the following exchanges: KuCoin, Kraken, Coinbase Pro.

Question 10

How Can I Keep My Zcash Safe?
