Question 2

Accepted Answer

WePower is a blockchain-based green energy trading platform. It enables renewable energy producers to raise capital by issuing their own energy tokens, simplifying and standardizing the global energy investment ecosystem. These tokens represent energy that producers pledge to produce and deliver. As a result, energy producers can directly trade with green energy buyers - both consumers and investors - and raise capital by selling energy in advance, at rates lower than market averages.

Question 3

Who created WePower?

Accepted Answer

The WePower platform was created by a team of energy sector veterans, blockchain developers, and business professionals. Their mission was to give renewable energy producers the ability to raise capital more effectively by leveraging blockchain technology and smart contract capabilities. The team's efforts have been recognized by Elering, a leading Transmission System Operator in Europe.

Question 4

How does WePower (WPR) work?

Accepted Answer

WePower (WPR) operates through a tokenization system. Each energy token that renewable energy producers issue represents a specific amount of energy they commit to produce and deliver in the future. By selling these tokens in advance, often at below-market rates, producers can raise capital for their projects. Buyers and investors, in turn, can purchase these tokens as a way of securing green energy at potentially lower costs or investing in the renewable energy sector. Once the energy is produced and delivered, token holders can use their tokens to offset their energy costs or sell them on the WePower platform.

Question 5

What Makes WePower Unique?

Accepted Answer

WePower's unique proposition lies in its innovative use of blockchain technology to facilitate direct trading between renewable energy producers and green energy buyers. This results in a decentralized, transparent, and efficient marketplace where energy producers can secure funding by selling energy upfront and buyers can directly invest in green energy projects.
