Question 1

How much is Verus Coin (VRSC) currently worth?

Accepted Answer

Verus Coin (VRSC) is currently trading at £ 2.19. Over the past 24 hours, VRSC has increased by +13.48%. The trading volume within the same time frame is 22.3K.

Question 2

What is Verus Coin (VRSC)?

Accepted Answer

Verus Coin (VRSC) positions itself as an advanced technology blockchain that emphasizes zero-knowledge privacy and aims to provide several features that contribute to its security and privacy capabilities. It sports a unique consensus mechanism touted as a solution to the \"nothing at stake\" problem and pushes for a highly decentralized approach that could mitigate certain attack vectors.

Question 3

Who Created Verus Coin?

Accepted Answer

The development team behind Verus Coin has chosen to focus on technological innovations rather than personal publicity. It has been released as a fair launched community project, meaning there was no initial coin offering (ICO) or pre-mining done for the benefit of early adopters or founders. Essentially, it's a decentralized project where the team and contributors collaborate to further develop the Verus Coin blockchain.

Question 4

How Does Verus Coin Work?

Accepted Answer

Verus Coin works by using a novel consensus mechanism called Proof of Power, which is a 50% Proof of Work (PoW) and 50% Proof of Stake (PoS) algorithm. This is designed to address issues inherent in other PoS systems and claim to provide immunity to 51% hash attacks — an exploit that can occur when someone controls the majority of mining power on a blockchain network. Additionally, Verus Coin employs VerusHash, a hash algorithm regarded as secure against quantum computing threats, which also enables equal opportunity mining across CPUs and GPUs.

Question 5

What Makes Verus Coin Unique?

Accepted Answer

The uniqueness of Verus Coin lies in its combined PoW/PoS consensus mechanism, which aims to achieve a high degree of decentralization. Moreover, its privacy features, which use zero-knowledge proofs, provide users with anonymity for transactions. Verus Coin also enables developers to deploy public blockchains as a service, which could be utilized for applications such as polls and elections.

Question 6

What is VerusHash?

Accepted Answer

VerusHash is a proprietary hash algorithm used by Verus Coin and is presented as a quantum-secure hashing function. It was developed to be mined efficiently on standard CPUs and GPUs, which promotes a wider distribution of miners and helps to protect against centralization - a common concern when specific mining hardware, like ASICs, dominate the network.

Question 7

How Is Verus Coin's Technology Upgraded?

Accepted Answer

Verus Coin's upgrades are community-driven, following the decentralized model that underpins its operations. Enhancement proposals are put forward by members of the community, and decisions are made collectively. This grassroots approach ensures that the evolution of Verus Coin's technology reflects the collective will of its users.

Question 8

How Much Verus Coin Is in Circulation?

Accepted Answer

The circulating supply of Verus Coin is 80.9M, with a potential total supply of 80.9M. The distribution of VRSC is designed to incentivize participants actively contributing to the network's security and operations.

Question 9

Can Verus Coin Be Used Privately?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Verus Coin's technology includes zero-knowledge privacy features that allow users to make transactions without exposing sensitive financial information. This can provide a high level of privacy for those seeking discretion in their transactions.

Question 10
