Question 2

What Exactly is SingularityNET (AGIX)?

Accepted Answer

SingularityNET is a blockchain-based, decentralized marketplace specifically designed for Artificial Intelligence (AI). It serves as a bridge by narrowing the existing gap between the developers of AI tools (typically researchers and academics) and businesses that require their services. It provides a platform where diverse AI projects can interact and collectively work toward more customized solutions than a single AI project might offer. Furthermore, it enables AI projects to have access to large data sets which are crucial for effective machine learning.

Question 3

Who is Behind SingularityNET (AGIX)?

Accepted Answer

The development team of SingularityNET is composed of over 50 AI developers and 10+ PhDs led by Dr. Ben Goertzel, the Chief Scientist and CEO. Besides leading SingularityNET, Dr. Goertzel also chairs the OpenCog Foundation and the Artificial General Intelligence Society. He serves additionally as the Chief Scientist at Hanson Robotics. Hanson Robotics has a significant role in bringing SingularityNET to life, with Dr. David Hanson, founder of Hanson Robotics, serving as the Robotics Lead on the project. Dr. Hanson is renowned for creating Sophia, one of the most expressive humanoid robots and a proud member of the team.

Question 4

How Does SingularityNET (AGIX) Work?

Accepted Answer

The AI Agents within the network of SingularityNET interact in complex ways to provide AI solutions. For instance, Sophia, the humanoid robot developed in-house, utilizes a wide range of AI Agents for operations like natural language processing to physical motor controls. When Sophia is tasked to summarize a video embedded in a webpage, Agent A is signalled, who then coordinates and deploys Agent B and Agent C, specializing in video analysis and text summarisation respectively. Transactions and coordination work are facilitated through the AGIX token, offering an incentivizing model to AI Agents for their services.

Question 5

What Sets SingularityNET (AGIX) Apart?

Accepted Answer
