Question 2

What exactly is Metronome (MET)?

Accepted Answer

Metronome, recognized by the symbol MET, is a unique cryptocurrency designed to provide \"institutional-class endurance\". It stands out from other cryptocurrencies due to its cross-blockchain compatibility feature. MET was developed by Bloq and was first announced in October 2017 before its eventual release in December 2017. The defining aspect of Metronome is its focus on enduring value and longevity. It's designed to keep ticking along, regardless of what's happening in the wider cryptocurrency market. It accomplishes this through a unique cross-block system that allows it to switch between different blockchains, ensuring its survival even if one blockchain fails.

Question 3

Who developed Metronome?

Accepted Answer

Metronome is developed by Bloq, a blockchain technology company. It's important to note that MET's vision of cross-blockchain compatibility and sustained value sets it apart from many existing cryptocurrencies. Bloq first announced Metronome's development in October 2017, which culminated in its release in early December that year.

Question 4

How does Metronome work?

Accepted Answer

Metronome works on the premise of cross-chain compatibility. This implies that MET tokens can operate across different blockchains, thereby increasing potential sustainability and longevity. Initially, Metronome was built on the Ethereum blockchain. Still, it swiftly expanded apparent compatibility to include the Ethereum Classic blockchain by Q1 2018. The process of achieving this cross-chain compatibility involves the creation of 'exit receipts' when leaving one chain and entering a new one. This ensures seamless transition between blockchains, a feature that boosts the resilience and adaptability of Metronome.

Question 5

How is Metronome's cross-chain compatibility unique?

Accepted Answer

The cross-chain compatibility of Metronome is an innovative feature that distinguishes it from other digital currencies. Most cryptocurrencies are built on a specific blockchain and continue to exist there. Metronome, on the other hand, is different. In order to maintain its value and sustainability, even in the face of adverse situations pertaining to a particular blockchain, Metronome can switch between chains. Suffice to say that even if one blockchain Metronome is currently on fails or encounters issues, MET can transfer its operations to another blockchain.
