Question 1

What is Maxcoin's Current Price?

Accepted Answer

Maxcoin's current price is BTC 233.38, showing a +0.00% over the last 24 hours.

Question 2

What Exactly Is Maxcoin (MAX)?

Accepted Answer

Maxcoin (MAX) is a cryptocurrency that boasts of a fair launch with no premine - an approach unique to the Maxcoin. The concept of premine refers to the activity of mining a cryptocurrency before it is made available to the public. Maxcoin's zero percent premine has been validated by the timestamps of the first blocks visible in a block explorer.

Question 3

Who Developed Maxcoin?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, the developers of Maxcoin haven't made much of their identities or organizational affiliations public. Nevertheless, they demonstrate a strong commitment to fairness and efficiency, as evidenced by the carefully planned launch of Maxcoin to ensure equal access and opportunity to all interested parties.

Question 4

How Does Maxcoin Work?

Accepted Answer

Maxcoin operates on a fast retarget rate for the first 200 blocks to combat low-difficulty instamining, an approach where a coin is mined extensively immediately after release leading to a rapid drop in its mining difficulty. Following this, Maxcoin implemented the Kimoto Gravity Well algorithm to control the difficulty retargeting, providing a smooth transition and greater stability in the mining process.

Question 5

What Makes Maxcoin Unique?

Accepted Answer

The two defining features of Maxcoin are its commitment to a fair launch and its use of the Keccak cryptographic algorithm. Launching with a zero percent premine ensured that early miners did not have an unfair advantage over others who joined later. Its unique algorithm means that Maxcoin's mining process differs from Bitcoin's SHA-256 mining, making it an interesting option for miners looking for something different.

Question 6

What is the Kimoto Gravity Well (KGW)?

Accepted Answer

The Kimoto Gravity Well (KGW) is a system implemented by Maxcoin, starting at block 200, to retarget mining difficulty. In the context of cryptocurrency, 'difficulty retargeting' is the method by which the complexity of the mathematical problems that computers must solve in order to mine a block is adjusted dynamically depending on the overall mining power of the network.

Question 7

What is Keccak in Maxcoin?

Accepted Answer

Keccak, pronounced like \"Ketchup\", is a cryptographic algorithm belonging to the SHA-3 family. It was selected as the winner in a 5-year long competition to find an alternative or successor to SHA-2, the family of cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin. This makes Maxcoin a distinctive member of the cryptocurrency world, given its use of this novel hashing algorithm.

Question 8

What Is The Circulating Supply of Maxcoin (MAX)?

Accepted Answer

The circulating supply of Maxcoin is currently 12.7M. Please take note that circulating supply is a close estimation of available coins in the market based on deducting those believed to be lost, burned, or not yet mined from the total supply figure of 100.0M.

Question 9

Where Can I Buy Maxcoin (MAX)?

Accepted Answer

You can purchase Maxcoin (MAX) on the following exchanges: YoBit. Always remember to engage in safe trading practices and keep your cryptocurrencies in a secure wallet.

Question 10
