Question 1

What is the current price of iLTC?

Accepted Answer

As of the latest data, the price of iLTC is A$ 43.08. Over the past 24 hours, its value has increased by +0.00%. It's important to note that cryptocurrency prices are highly volatile and can change rapidly within very short periods.

Question 2

What Is iLTC?

Accepted Answer

iLTC is a synthetic asset provided by the Synthetix platform. Synthetic assets are financial instruments that provide economic exposure to underlying assets without holding the actual asset. iLTC, in particular, is designed to track the price of Litecoin in an inverse manner, meaning as Litecoin's price decreases, the value of iLTC increases, and vice versa.

Question 3

Who created iLTC?

Accepted Answer

iLTC was created by the Synthetix team, a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol known for creating synthetic assets (synths) that track the performance of real-world assets on the Ethereum blockchain.

Question 4

How does iLTC work?

Accepted Answer

iLTC works by utilizing the Synthetix protocol, which allows users to mint, trade, and burn various synthetic assets. When a user wants to gain exposure to iLTC, they stake the Synthetix Network Token (SNX) as collateral and mint iLTC tokens. The price of iLTC is algorithmically linked to the price of Litecoin through a decentralized oracles system, which continuously feeds updated price information into the Synthetix smart contracts.

Question 5

What makes iLTC unique?

Accepted Answer

iLTC is unique because it allows users to speculate on the price movements of Litecoin without directly owning any Litecoin. This is particularly useful for those who wish to hedge against Litecoin's price fluctuations or for those who have restricted access to Litecoin due to regulatory reasons.

Question 6

How is the price of iLTC determined?

Accepted Answer

The price of iLTC is determined by the price of Litecoin. As iLTC is an inverse synthetic asset, it moves opposite to the actual Litecoin price. This tracking is made possible through the use of oracles, which are services that provide real-time price data to the Synthetix protocol.

Question 7

How does iLTC ensure accurate price tracking?

Accepted Answer

iLTC ensures accurate price tracking by leveraging reliable oracle services. The Synthetix protocol integrates these oracles to fetch live price data of Litecoin and ensure that the price of iLTC is adjusted according to the movements in the Litecoin market.

Question 8

How much iLTC is in circulation?

Accepted Answer

The information on circulating supply of iLTC is typically tied to the Synthetix protocol's mechanics, as its supply is not fixed but instead is minted and burned based on users' interactions with the protocol. The current circulating supply of iLTC is .

Question 9

How does iLTC fit into the Synthetix ecosystem?

Accepted Answer

iLTC is an integral part of the Synthetix ecosystem, which is designed to offer a range of synthetic assets to the cryptocurrency market. Within this ecosystem, iLTC represents an inverse exposure option to Litecoin, allowing traders and investors to participate in the Litecoin market in a non-conventional manner through the DeFi ecosystem provided by Synthetix.

Question 10

Where can you buy iLTC?

Accepted Answer

You can purchase iLTC on the various decentralized exchanges (DEX) that support the Synthetix ecosystem's assets. The specific platforms where iLTC is available can be found listed as .

Question 11

How to keep your iLTC safe?

Accepted Answer

Keeping your iLTC safe involves the same best practices for any digital assets. It is recommended to use a secure wallet, preferably a hardware wallet for the highest level of security. Also, ensuring that your software is up-to-date, using strong, unique passwords, and avoiding phishing attempts are crucial to safeguard your investment.
