Question 2

What Is Idena (IDNA)?

Accepted Answer

Idena (IDNA) is a unique blockchain platform that introduces a novel way to validate individuals on the blockchain. It ensures the humanness and uniqueness of its users without requiring any personal identity information. The innovative approach of Idena is to conduct an AI-resistant test, known as \"flips,\" across the network simultaneously to verify its participants. This process aims to guarantee that each participant is a real human and not a bot or duplicate entity.

Question 3

How does Idena work?

Accepted Answer

Idena utilizes what's called Proof-of-Person (PoP) consensus to secure its network. This means that the blockchain is maintained by a series of nodes, each connected to a 'cryptoidentity'. Every cryptoidentity corresponds to a single individual, who has passed the AI-resistant test to verify their human status. Each individual has equal voting rights in the network, contributing to its democratic and decentralized nature. The AI-resistant tests occur at regular intervals, known as validation ceremonies, ensuring that participants are indeed humans and maintaining the integrity of the network.

Question 4

What Is Proof-of-Person (PoP) consensus?

Accepted Answer

Proof-of-Person (PoP) consensus is the core technology behind Idena. It differentiates from other consensus mechanisms like Proof-of-Work or Proof-of-Stake by requiring a unique human to operate a node and participate in the network. This mechanism ensures that the power within the Idena network is evenly distributed among individuals, rather than concentrated in the hands of those with the most computational power or the highest stake.

Question 5

What is the AI-resistant test in Idena?

Accepted Answer

The AI-resistant test in Idena, known as 'flips', is designed to prevent artificial intelligence and bots from participating in the network. The test is a series of images that tell a story, which participants must interpret and solve at the same time globally. This simultaneous test is conducted regularly and serves as the foundation for a user to maintain their cryptoidentity within the Idena network.

Question 6

How Is the Idena Network Secured?

Accepted Answer

The security of the Idena network is maintained through its unique Proof-of-Person (PoP) consensus and the regular validation ceremonies. The validation process not only ensures that all participants are actual individuals but also promotes network decentralization and protects against various forms of attacks, such as Sybil attacks, where a single entity tries to control a disproportionate amount of nodes.

Question 7

How Much Idena (IDNA) Is in Circulation?

Accepted Answer

As of now, the circulating supply of Idena (IDNA) is 99.7M. Bear in mind that this amount can change since new tokens can be minted as new individuals join and pass the AI-resistant test to create their cryptoidentities.

Question 8

What Is Idena’s Role in Digital Identity?

Accepted Answer

Idena’s role in digital identity is to offer a blockchain-based solution that allows for the verification of individual human participants without relying on personal identity information. This system opens up possibilities for democratic voting, universal basic income models, and fair distribution of resources while preserving privacy and preventing fraud.

Question 9

How Is Idena’s Technology Upgraded?

Accepted Answer

Idena’s technology is upgraded through the collective decision-making process of its participants. Each verified human node, or cryptoidentity, has a vote in the governance of the network. Proposals for upgrades and changes can be put forward by participants, with decisions made based on the majority ruling.
