Question 1

What is the current price of iADA?

Accepted Answer

The current price of iADA can fluctuate quite a bit due to market volatility. As of the latest data, the price of iADA is € 0.17569967. In the last 24 hours, the value has increased, showing a change of +0.00%.

Question 2

What Is iADA?

Accepted Answer

iADA is a synthetic asset provided by the Synthetix network, which is a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform. Synthetic assets are financial instruments that replicate the value of other assets such as commodities, fiat currencies, or cryptocurrencies, without requiring direct ownership of the underlying asset. iADA specifically tracks the price of Cardano's ADA cryptocurrency, allowing for exposure to ADA's price movements without holding the actual ADA tokens.

Question 3

Who created iADA?

Accepted Answer

iADA, like other synthetic assets on the Synthetix platform, was not created by an individual but is a product of the Synthetix protocol itself. Synthetix is a decentralized application built on Ethereum, and it allows users to mint, trade, and manage synthetic assets. While iADA doesn't have individual founders, it is built upon the Synthetix network which was originally known as Havven and was conceptualized and launched by Kain Warwick and the Synthetix team.

Question 4

How Does iADA Work?

Accepted Answer

iADA works by utilizing the Synthetix protocol to track the price of the actual Cardano (ADA) coin. The Synthetix network uses smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain to create synthetic assets that mimic the value of real-world assets. When a user wants to gain exposure to the price of ADA through iADA, they can use Synthetix's platform to mint iADA using the Synthetix Network Token (SNX) or other collateral as a guarantee. The price of iADA then moves in direct correlation with the price movements of ADA in the real market.

Question 5

What Makes iADA Unique?

Accepted Answer

The uniqueness of iADA lies in its being a synthetic version of the ADA cryptocurrency. This allows investors and traders to participate in the price action of ADA without holding the actual Cardano tokens. This can be beneficial for those who want to avoid the wallet management and security concerns associated with directly owning cryptocurrencies. Additionally, because iADA is part of the Synthetix ecosystem, it benefits from the decentralized and permissionless nature of the platform.

Question 6

How Is iADA’s Price Pegged to ADA?

Accepted Answer

The price of iADA is pegged to the real-time value of ADA through price feeds provided by oracles. These oracles are third-party services that fetch price data from various exchanges to ensure that the synthetic asset's price accurately reflects the true market value of ADA. The Synthetix protocol uses this data to adjust the price of the synthetic assets accordingly, providing users with a token that moves in tandem with ADA’s actual price.

Question 7

How Much iADA Is in Circulation?

Accepted Answer

Since iADA is a synthetic asset, its circulation isn't fixed like a traditional cryptocurrency. The number of iADA tokens in circulation is directly related to the amount of it that users have minted and currently hold within the Synthetix system. The circulating supply of iADA would therefore be based on the current demand and collateral provided by users on the Synthetix platform.

Question 8

How Is the Synthetix Network Secured?

Accepted Answer

The Synthetix network is secured by the Ethereum blockchain, which is known for its robust security model. Ethereum uses a decentralized network of nodes and the consensus mechanism known as Proof of Work (PoW, transitioning to Proof of Stake, PoS, with Ethereum 2.0). These nodes work together to validate transactions and maintain the integrity of the network. Synthetix also utilizes smart contracts that are code-audited and tested to ensure the security and proper functionality of its synthetic assets.

Question 9

Where Can You Buy iADA?

Accepted Answer

iADA can be acquired on the Synthetix trading platform, where users can trade it for other synthetic assets or collateralize it using SNX or other forms of collateral. The availability of iADA may also extend to other decentralized exchanges and platforms that support synthetic assets created on the Synthetix network. However, since it's not a traditional cryptocurrency, it’s not typically available on standard crypto exchanges.

Question 10

How to Keep Your iADA Safe?

Accepted Answer

To ensure the safety of your iADA tokens, it is vital to follow good security practices that are standard within the cryptocurrency industry. This includes using hardware wallets for storing your assets, keeping your private keys secure and offline, using strong, unique passwords for your accounts, enabling two-factor authentication where available, and being vigilant about phishing attempts and scams. Remember, as a synthetic asset on the Ethereum network, iADA can be stored in any wallet that supports ERC-20 tokens.
