Accepted Answer

Hycon (HYC) stands for \"Hyper-Connected Coin\" and is the digital asset of a next-generation scalable blockchain, developed by the Infinity Project team. Utilizing a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) structure, Hycon has been designed to publish multiple blocks simultaneously, resolve conflicting transactions, and reject double-spends through the SPECTRE consensus algorithm. This unique design enables transactions to be confirmed or rejected within seconds.

Question 3

Question 4

How does Hycon's Blockchain operate?

Accepted Answer

The fundamental operation of Hycon's blockchain lies in its innovative use of the Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) structure and the SPECTRE consensus algorithm. Unlike traditional blockchain systems that queue transactions for inclusion in the next block, the DAG structure enables the publishing of several blocks simultaneously. This is combined with the SPECTRE consensus algorithm, which can resolve conflicting transactions and reject double-spends efficiently. When blocks are received out of sequence, they still can be ordered based on their suggested position in the DAG, thus essentially eliminating network latency as a limiting factor on transactional throughput. This unique technology allows Hycon to achieve a transactional throughput of up to 3000 Tps on a 2MB/s connection.

Question 5

What does the future hold for Hycon?

Accepted Answer

The main vision for Hycon is utilization within the Infinity Project Ecosystem – consisting of Phase 1 (HYCON), Phase 2 (Infinity Platform), and Phase 3 (Infinity Decentralized Exchange).
