Question 2

What is IQ cryptocurrency?

Accepted Answer

IQ is a unique cryptocurrency that aims to foster decentralized knowledge sharing and governance. The IQ token facilitates and powers interactions on IQ.wiki - the world's largest crypto knowledge base - allowing users to contribute to and participate in the management of this extensive information resource. Moreover, IQ is a DeFi (Decentralized Finance) token, meaning its holders can earn rewards through various DeFi practices such as staking.

Question 3

Who manages IQ?

Accepted Answer

The management of IQ lies in the hands of BrainDAO, a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). This means that token holders are actively involved in making decisions about the currency's future. Additionally, BrainDAO backs the IQ token through its treasury, which includes not only IQ tokens but also other digital assets like stablecoins and blue chip NFTs.

Question 4

How does IQ cryptocurrency work?

Accepted Answer

IQ operates on a decentralized platform, meaning that there is no central authority overseeing its operations. Instead, it is driven by collective management, where decisions are made by the token holders themselves. This is implemented through BrainDAO, which gives IQ holders an opportunity to participate in governance decisions. As a DeFi token, IQ holders can stake their tokens to participate in the decision-making process and earn rewards. This process, known as yield farming, helps to incentivize participation in the token's ecosystem. Token holders stake their IQ tokens, effectively locking them up for a period of time, to earn rewards based on their stake.

Question 5

What makes IQ unique?

Accepted Answer

IQ is unique in its primary focus on fostering decentralized knowledge sharing. It operates the IQ.wiki, an encyclopedia that is built and managed by the token holders themselves. This concept of user-driven content creation and management sets it apart from traditional information resources. The governance model of IQ, managed by BrainDAO, is another point of uniqueness. Rather than central authorities or a small team of developers having control over the currency, decisions are democratically made by IQ token holders. Moreover, by coupling this governance model with DeFi reward practices, IQ ensures active participation from its users and provides a tangible incentive for staking tokens and participating in the token's ecosystem.
