Question 1

What is the current price of Edge (EDGE)?

Accepted Answer

Edge (EDGE) is currently priced at LTC 0.00105071.

Question 2

What exactly is Edge (EDGE)?

Accepted Answer

Edge (EDGE) is an innovative cryptocurrency project that leverages blockchain technology to realize a serverless, peer-to-peer infrastructure. EDGE utilizes the spare computing capacity distributed globally to establish what is known as \"Edge\" networking. This novel concept seeks to redefine the future of the cloud, making it more decentralized, efficient, and democratic, thus leveling the playing field for everyone.

Question 3

Who are the creators of Edge?

Accepted Answer

The Edge cryptocurrency together with the underlying network was developed by the team at DADI. While the team members are not publicly listed on the main website, they have a wealth of experience in cloud computing, distributed systems, and blockchain technology, all contributing to the creation of the Edge network.

Question 4

How does Edge work?

Accepted Answer

The Edge network works by making use of spare computing resources available around the globe to form a decentralized cloud solution. The main operations of Edge involve distributing and allocating computing tasks across a variety of devices such as personal computers, servers, and even smartphones. This means that anyone can participate in the Edge network by sharing their spare computing power and storage space in return for EDGE tokens. This shared pool of resources then makes up a decentralized cloud network which can power various applications and services on the internet.

Question 5

What makes Edge unique?

Accepted Answer

Edge's unique proposition lies in its innovative way of harnessing spare computing capacity to deliver practical serverless infrastructure. Rather than relying on centralized data centers like conventional cloud services, Edge exploits the potential of global, distributed resources. Embracing blockchain technology is another unique factor that sets Edge apart. The integration of blockchain into the Edge network ensures transparency, peer-to-peer interactions, and robust security. All of these elements result in a fair system where all contributions to the network are adequately rewarded with EDGE tokens.

Question 6

How many EDGE tokens are currently in circulation?

Accepted Answer

The current circulating supply of Edge (EDGE) is 40.9M tokens.

Question 7

How secure is the Edge network?

Accepted Answer

The Edge network relies heavily on blockchain technology for its operational security. This entails encryption of data sent across the network and the decentralization of data storage, reducing the risk of data breaches that centralized server facilities often face. Moreover, the peer-to-peer nature of the Edge network eliminates single points of failure, ensuring a stable and robust system that can effectively withstand various forms of online attacks.

Question 8

Where can I buy Edge (EDGE)?

Accepted Answer

Edge (EDGE) can be bought on several cryptocurrency exchanges. The current exchanges where you can purchase EDGE tokens include Gate.io, DeversiFi, HitBTC.

Question 9

What's Edge's role in the future of cloud services?

Accepted Answer

Edge envisions itself as a key player in the future of cloud services. By exploiting unused computing resources from devices across the world and leveraging the power of blockchain, Edge seeks to decentralize the cloud and deliver serverless infrastructure. This revolutionary approach could potentially reshape the industry, making cloud services more affordable, accessible, and resilient.
