Question 1

How Has Ampleforth (AMPL) Price Changed Today?

Accepted Answer

Ampleforth (AMPL) price has increased today, with its current price at approximately € 1.29. The change reflects its dynamic nature, especially due to its unique elastic supply protocol, which adjusts daily.

Question 2

What Is Ampleforth (AMPL)?

Accepted Answer

Ampleforth (AMPL) is a digital-asset-protocol designed to be a smart commodity-money. It stands out in the cryptocurrency space due to its elastic supply protocol, which automatically adjusts the supply of its tokens based on the current price. This adjustment aims to achieve price equilibrium with a target of 1 USD per AMPL.

Question 3

How Does Ampleforth's Elastic Supply Protocol Work?

Accepted Answer

The core technology behind Ampleforth is its adaptive supply mechanism. It is designed to expand (rebase) when the price is high, distributing more AMPL to all current holders, and contract when the price is low, reducing the number of AMPLs in each wallet. This rebase occurs once every 24 hours and is proportional, meaning each holder experiences the same percentage increase or decrease in supply, aiming to bring the market price back to its target.

Question 4

Why Is Ampleforth's Elastic Supply Model Unique?

Accepted Answer

What makes Ampleforth truly distinct in the world of cryptocurrencies is that it's the only asset with an elastic supply that operates on this automatic rebasing protocol. Unlike most cryptocurrencies that have a fixed supply or a supply that only changes through mining or burning, AMPL adjusts its supply across all wallets in response to market conditions, creating counter-cyclical trading pressure. This quality aims to make AMPL uncorrelated with other digital assets such as Bitcoin.

Question 5

What Are the Benefits of Ampleforth's Elasticity?

Accepted Answer

The elastic supply protocol of Ampleforth offers several potential benefits. It's designed to reduce volatility and speculative trading, as the rebasing mechanism discourages holding AMPL solely for price speculation. Additionally, the counter-cyclical nature of the supply changes means that AMPL may not follow the broader market trends as closely as other digital assets, potentially providing a diversification option for investors.

Question 6

How Is the Ampleforth Network Secured?

Accepted Answer

Ampleforth is built on Ethereum, which means it inherits the security features of the Ethereum blockchain. The platform's smart contracts, which manage the rebase mechanism, are subject to the same level of security and decentralization as Ethereum. This includes protection against double-spending and the robustness provided by Ethereum's global network of nodes.

Question 7

What Is Ampleforth's Market Cap Ranking?

Accepted Answer

Currently, Ampleforth holds the position of #2003 in terms of market capitalization with a value of € 3.1M. Its market position illustrates the adoption and relevance of its elastic supply protocol within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Question 8

How Much Ampleforth Is in Circulation?

Accepted Answer

The circulating supply of Ampleforth is at 2.4M tokens at present. It's important to remember that this amount automatically adjusts every 24 hours as the protocol rebases to maintain price equilibrium.

Question 9

What Are the Use Cases of Ampleforth?

Accepted Answer
